The title of Honorary Professor of AGH is a unique distinction. The authorities of the Krakow technical university give it to people of particular merit for AGH, outstanding scientists who have devoted their professional lives to their home university. They received this honorable title at the ceremony at AGH on 28.10.2022, associated with the AGH University of Science and Technology from the beginning of their scientific activity, professors Andrzej Łędzki (from 1968) and Janusz Łuksza (from 1969).

Prof. Janusz Łuksza is a recognized specialist in the field of research on phenomena and processes occurring during plastic processing of metals. Prof. Andrzej Łędzki made a huge contribution to the development of knowledge in the field of blast furnace processes.

The ceremony of awarding honorary titles to distinguished professors was attended by delegates from NOVMAR, the youngest employees, hives, titled engineers, recent AGH UST graduates, as well as their Head, founder and president of NOVMAR, who has been in close contact with his Alma Mater for many years.

The new honorary professors of AGH, with congratulations and wishes, received from NOVMAR, in a gift package, recordings of the oratorio "Star of Bethlehem over the Tatras" by Wiesław Nowak (lyrics) and Andrzej Zarycki (music).
