Underinvested municipal infrastructure in Balice, on Przemysłowa Street

On 03.09.2024 and 30.10.2024, at the headquarters of Novmar Sp. z o. o. in Balice, two working meetings of entrepreneurs from Przemysłowa Street were held: the first with the Mayors of the Communes of Zabierzów and Liszki and the second - with a group of Councilors of the Commune of Zabierzów and its Mayor. At both of these meetings, there was a committed, substantive discussion about the problems troubling the entrepreneurs' community from Balice, who wanted to draw the attention of representatives of the commune's self-government to them.

The second meeting, on 30.10.2024, was a continuation of the previous meeting, on 03.08.2024, but in a different composition. This time, a group of 9 Zabierzów Commune Councilors, with its chairman Jerzy Cywicki, the Mayor of the Zabierzów Commune Dorota Kęsek and Marek Janas, president of the Municipal Services Company in Zabierzów participated.

Entrepreneurs from Balice were represented by 11 presidents, vice-presidents and directors of companies with their headquarters and operating in the area of Przemysłowa Street in Balice, on the southern edge of the Zabierzów Commune.

Arriving in Balice, the Zabierzów Councillors of the new term were able to assess the situation on the spot, in the field. They met people running businesses here and their problems related to underinvested infrastructure, creating daily inconveniences, increasing operating costs and hindering development and attracting new investments to this area of the Zabierzów Commune.

The most space in the direct, substantive conversation was taken up by the issues, very painfully felt by everyone in the area of Przemysłowa Street, the lack of a sanitary sewage system, in the context of the expansion of the sewage treatment plant in Liszki, as well as considering the possibility of connecting companies operating in the area of Przemysłowa Street to the sewage treatment plant in Liszki or Balice or the Krakow municipal sewage system.

The authorities of both communes declared in their statements their understanding and support for the reported postulates, at the same time explaining the lack of appropriate funds to solve the reported problems, which requires large investments, given the poor finances of the Commune. Everyone is aware that the costs, especially in the matter of building a sanitary sewage system, are very high and count in millions of złoty
